The aim of the Symposium is created a platform for young researchers and graduates to establish a collaboration research network and discuss of topics important to develop new knowledge in structural engineering and construction.

The present proceeding contains the technical papers that were presented during the 1st Asia Pacific Young Researchers and Graduates Symposium that was held in Ocean Science Building, Kunsan National University, Republic of Korea, 26-28 February 2009. The theme of the symposium was Recent Advances in Structural Engineering and Construction.

The symposium was sponsored by BK21 Geo Environment Research Team in Kunsan National University. Their financial support is gratefully acknowledged.

후기: 2009년 2월 Yew-Chin박사님과 도정윤박사님의 제의로 처음 시도한 심포지엄이었습니다. 처음이라 시행착오도 많았지만, 많은 경험을 수확하였습니다. 이제 2회를 2010년에 중국에서 개최하게 되는데, 규모도 커지고, 좀더 systematic해져 흐믓합니다.
